FAMOUS KITCHEN
This the first time I’ve ever had a dilemma whether to blog about a restaurant or not because of selfish reasons. Honestly, I don’t want this restaurant to be “famous" as its name suggest because I don’t want compete with other people for their delicious food.

Famous is a small Chinese restaurant that specializes on roast meat namely, Peking Duck, Choi Chicken, White Chicken, Char Siu and Lechon Macau.

Their food are so good that the Char Siu and Lechon Macau are sold out even before dinner time strikes (6pm). There are a lot of people that buy their food to go. So, if you want to taste their food without limitations, I suggest going there quite early.

They offer an assortment of different frozen/refrigerated food for you to take home such as Sio Pao. Imported and local refreshments are also available for the diners.

There is nothing special with regards to the ambiance and design of the restaurant. It is simple and clean. You won’t be looking anywhere else aside from the bowl in front of you though.

One of the things I really like about this place is that they offer affordable rice meals (140-200 PHP). The meal above is their Peking Duck. It is very delicious and doesn’t have the usual duck “malansa” smell. I highly recommend it to roast duck lovers.

This one is their White Chicken. This meal doesn’t have a very strong taste which is just perfect for some people. They usually include a sweet sauce or gravy with their meals for people who want to have a more flavorful meat.

They also offer combinations of their roasted meat in rice bowls. The above meal is their Char Siu and Peking Duck. I have tasted a good number of Char Siu pork a.k.a. Asado pork in my life but this is one of the best, if not the best, tasting version. It is very juicy and sweet. You might want to order some to go if I were you.
Overall, Famous Kitchen is currently our favorite Chinese restaurant. As much as I want to limit my carbohydrate intake (rice), I really cannot give this one up. I’ll just probably look for ways to eat the Char Siu without the usual white rice. Not your problem though if you are not on a diet. Eat until your tummy’s content. I guarantee you’ll love it here.
